Founded in 2014, Films on Tap began as a simple idea - a few friends “pairing” short films with samples of local beer in Sean Beck’s living room.

Enter Nicole Driscoll, and the idea grew - inviting local breweries and filmmakers to partner together and bring a new event to life.

Today, Films on Tap has a full crew dedicated to building a unique platform for short film. Our goal is to showcase local talent in a venue that’s totally different from traditional film festivals while celebrating another art we all love - craft beer.

THE PROCESS

Films on Tap actually consists of two events - a private tasting with our filmmakers, and a public screening of their work.

At the private tasting, we invite our brewery partner to recommend samples that will mirror the unique content and qualities of each film. Our Films on Tap Brewmeister then leads a discussion with our filmmakers, who ultimately decide the best pairing.

At our public screenings, each filmmaker speaks to the crowd to share the stories behind their pairing. We serve everyone a sample of the selected beer, roll the film, and sip away. Cheers!
